<div itemprop="description">LAWRENCE CHAPMAN<br><br>Lawrence Harold Chapman long time Edmonton resident passed away at the age of 76 on Augsut 1st, 2017 at Youville Nursing Home in St. Albert where he had received care since 2011 following a stroke.<br><br>Lawrence was born in Mountain Park, Alberta on July 29th, 1941. He graduated from Edson Senior High School in 1959 and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Alberta.<br><br>Lawrence worked as a high school Social Studies teacher for the Edmonton Public School system his entire career. Most of his teaching service was at Ross Sheppard High School. He retired from teaching in 1996. He had a lifelong interest in politics and current events. As well Lawrence enjoyed exploring and developing educational computer software. Throughout his life he travelled extensively and found India to be one of his most fascinating destinations.<br><br>Lawrence was preceded in death by his older sister Eileen Fowler, twin sister Lorraine Tasa, his parents Harold and Idella Chapman and his niece Cindy Tasa. He is survived by his nephews Victor Tasa, Tom Fowler and the daughters of Cindy Tasa, Katie and Kayla.<br><br>Cremation was handled by Westlawn Funeral Home and no formal funeral service will be held.<br><br>Memorial donations may be given to a charity of your choice or Lawrence’s favorite, The Red Cross in support of India.<br><br>Lawrence’s family wish to thank Dr. Clark, the staff of Youville Home, and his additional caregivers for the wonderful support he received.<br></div>
