William "Bill" Paul Brown
October 14, 1939 - June 26, 2015
Our beloved Billy Brown passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the age of 75. Dad will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Doris; daughter Barbara (Leon); son Bryan (Lori); grandchildren Carlie, Brody and Rebecca; sister Helen; and brothers Joseph (Shirley) and Ken (Deb); Sister in law Hazel (Norman); Brother in law Gordon (Linda); and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Ellen, In-laws Walter and Vera Flynn, sister in law Doreen Flynn and brother in law Mike Drozdowski.
Dad worked for R. Angus then Finning for over 30 years holding many different positions from Truck Driver to New Equipment Prep and Traffic Coordinator. He loved Golf and enjoyed attending the Annual Mullen Golf Tournament in Kananaskis for a number of years. He also enjoyed Hockey especially watching his grandson play, but most of all he loved to joke, laugh and tease his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Westlawn Funeral Home 16310 Stony Plain Rd. Interment to follow.
The family would like to thank the staff at Shepherd’s Care Kensington Campus Long Term Care for looking after our beloved Bill in his last six months.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Shepherd’s Care Foundation or a charity of your choice.
