Alice Louise Rusaw
On Sunday, December 14, 2014 Louise Rusaw of Edmonton passed away just before her 88th birthday. With family by her side, holding her hand, she slipped away peacefully, surrounded by love.
Louise will be remembered with love by her sons and daughters-in-law: Doug and Anne Gilroyed of Legal, Neil and Lorraine Gilroyed of Edmonton, Keith and Sarah Gilroyed of Edmonton and Brian and Robin Rusaw of Green Lake, B.C.; her grandchildren Alan (Gina), Dion, Jason (Lisa), Lisa, Lindsey, Darren (Kelly), Krista (Andrew), Matthew (Ashley), and Kimberly (Daryl); her great-grandchildren Daniel, Brianne, Ty, Tyler, Laci, Emma and McKaid. She also leaves behind her sister Phyllis of Princeton and numerous nieces, nephews and many fine friends and neighbors, including Lovelee Lagarisola her friend and caregiver. The family would also like to thank St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital for their care and compassion in dealing with mom in her final months.
A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the Edmonton Food Bank, P.O Box 62061, T5M 4B5, or the charity of one’s choice.
