She is also survived by her siblings Dorothy, Norma and Ernie. Vera was predeceased by her sister Lois and brothers Ray, Arnold, and Floyd, and by her mother Ethel Viola and father Nels Peterson.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Amy Franke, an angel for sure who shepherded Vera through her final years, to the devoted staff at Capital Care Grandview, and to her companion and gentle caregiver Valerie Vass.
A celebration of Vera’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Westlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vera’s memory may be directed to the Kidney Foundation and the Canadian Mental Health Society, or the charity of your choice.
