It is with great sadness that the family of Sophie Keller (Tchir) of Edmonton, Alberta announces her passing on December 27, 2016, at the age of 94 years old. Sophie will be lovingly remembered by her six children, Sharon, Joyce, June, Claude (Yvonne), David and Donald Keller. Two grandsons, Jonathon (Lisa) and Brian. Her sister Helen Basaraba and her brother Walter (Irene) Tchir. Predeceased by her husband, Fred Keller, her parents, Katrina and Alexander Tchir and her siblings Catherine Neese, Nelly Remillong, Nick Tchir, Anne Strynadka and Mary Balanecki. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Jasper Place Continuing Care Centre.
After cremation and interment at Westlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, in keeping with her wishes, a private gathering of immediate family will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Alberta and NWT or the War Amps of Canada.
