<div itemprop="description">ADAMSON, Lillian Eileen<br>August 20, 1925- February 6, 2017<br><br>On Monday, February 6, 2017, Mrs. Lillian Eileen (Mowbray) Adamson passed away peacefully from this life at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans at the age of 91.<br>Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Susan (Gary) Carter and Sandra (Dale) Clark; six grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) and Emily (Frank); Alan (Loralie), Laura, Thomas, and Jonathan Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Chase and Alexis Carter-Ell and Benjamin, Abigail and Rebekah Clark. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Thomas James Adamson, in 2011.<br>Eileen attended secretarial school and worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia. Tom and Eileen were married on September 12, 1947. After living a few months in Drumheller where they suffered a flood, they returned to Edmonton, and Eileen again worked for the bank until shortly before she and Tom started a family. From then on, Eileen devoted herself to raising their two daughters and creating a loving home environment. Eileen enjoyed gardening and took pride in growing beautiful flowers as well as a carefully manicured vegetable garden.<br>Eileen was a long-time member of Crestwood Presbyterian Church and supported Tom when he served as a deacon in the church.<br>A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Crestwood Presbyterian Church, 14304-96 Avenue, Edmonton, with lunch to follow.<br>Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery.<br></div>
