<div itemprop="description"> <p> <b> OLIVE </b> , Donald Weldon </p> <p> June 26, 1921 &ndash; September 16, 2012 </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> Sunshine fades and shadows fall, but sweet remembrance outlasts all. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> On September 16, 2012 Donald (Don) Olive, age 91, left his earthly family to join his wife of 69 years, Etta May Olive, who passed away on May 8, 2012. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> As a very young man, Don proudly enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy. Don&rsquo;s time spent serving his country in World War II was in the North Atlantic. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> He will be lovingly remembered by his children: William (Bill) Olive, (Bonnie-Lea) and Loretta (Lorrie) Olive, (Victor Fraser); sister, Edna Vanderburgh; sister-in-law, Mary MacDonald; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> A Funeral Service and Celebration of Don&rsquo;s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 at Howard &amp; McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. A visitation will be held at the chapel prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. </p> <p> &nbsp; </p> <p> Anyone wishing to remember Don, may make a donation to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice. </p> </div>
