Carol-Ann Getz
April 4, 1946 - August 17, 2016
Carol-Ann Getz April 4, 1946 - August 17, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of Carol-Ann Getz announces her passing on August 17, 2016, after a long and courageous struggle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. She was 70 years old.
Carol-Ann will be lovingly remembered by daughters Kristina (Pierre) and Lisa (Jason) and her grandchildren River, Rain, Lake, Eddy, Sunny and Winter. She is survived by Auntie Audrey, Murray, sisters Dini & Joyce, brother Larry, dear in-laws, and nieces and nephews. Over the years Carol-Ann received wonderful care and support from homecare coordinators and caregivers Heather, Kayla, Margie, Nelina, Zuzu, Rhona and AHS doctors and staff.
Carol-Ann was kind, loving and generous. From vendors at Strathcona market to co-workers and clients, Carol-Ann enriched the life of anyone that knew her. Quick to laugh, with boundless energy, Carol-Ann was a gifted parent, grandparent, teacher and friend. She will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Service in memory of Carol-Ann will be held on Friday, August 26, at 2:00 p.m., at the St Andrews United Church, 9915 - 148 Street, Edmonton, AB with Rev. Geoffrey Wilfong-Pritchard officiating.
Those who so desire may make donations in memory of Carol-Ann to the MSA Coalition https://www.multiplesystematrophy.org/ or Plan International Because I'm a Girl http://plancanada.ca/because-i-am-a-girl .
